WASHINGTON, D.C. — House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Mark E. Green, MD (R-TN) and Subcommittee on Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Chairman Andrew Garbarino (R-NY) issued the following statement regarding the cyberattack last week against 16 hospitals and more than a hundred other medical facilities across the United States:
“The recent reports of a cyberattack on a hospital system impacting facilities and patient care across the country are extremely concerning. Attacks on our critical infrastructure, particularly our health infrastructure, are unacceptable. We urge impacted entities to work closely with the FBI, CISA, and other appropriate Federal agencies to facilitate the incident response and bring these hospitals back online.”
