WASHINGTON – Rep. Mark Green (R-TN), House Oversight and Reform Committee member, released the following statement reacting to the Department of Justice’s release of the full Mueller report:
“To suggest that there is an ongoing conspiracy that involves the president, the attorney general and the special counsel is merely partisan tomfoolery. The Special Counsel’s report is clear – it absolves the president and kills the phony tale that the president colluded with Russia. It’s time to close this embarrassing chapter of American history,” said Rep. Mark Green.
Reports show Special Counsel Bob Mueller helped Attorney General Barr apply legal redactions to the report. Mueller has not released any public statements since submitting his report to the Attorney General.
