Chairman Green Reacts to Latest Democrat Stunt at ICE Facility: "House Democrats So Supportive of Illegal Entry They're Trying it Themselves"
WASHINGTON—Today, House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Mark E. Green issued the following statement after House Democrats, including House Homeland Security Committee member LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) and former Committee member Rob Menendez (D-NJ), stormed U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Delaney Hall detention facility in New Jersey:
“It seems like House Democrats are so supportive of illegal entry that now they’re trying it themselves. This is absolutely absurd—even AOC had the courtesy to conduct her anti-enforcement photo-op outside the gates of a CBP facility back in 2019. House Democrats oppose basic immigration enforcement, including the detention of MS-13 gang members—something Americans across this country should keep in mind. This kind of publicity stunt is beneath the dignity of the offices these individuals hold. What an embarrassing day for congressional Democrats.”
