Hickman and Houston Counties Added to Major Disaster Declaration
WASHINGTON – The Major Disaster Declaration granted by President Joe Biden after this weekend’s catastrophic flooding has been expanded to Dickson, Hickman and Houston Counties. Humphreys County’s declaration was granted earlier in the week.
After visiting Humphreys County on Sunday and again on Wednesday, Green noted, “My prayers continue to be with all those who have been impacted by this tragedy. We will do everything in our power to help those who have lost so much.”
This came in response to Governor Bill Lee’s request for the declaration and a letter from Senator Marsha Blackburn, Senator Bill Hagerty, Congressman Jim Cooper, and myself to the President requesting an expedited major disaster designation for Dickson, Hickman, Houston, and Humphreys Counties.
