“Town halls are invaluable to me as a member of Congress,” said Rep. Mark Green. “Please bring your ideas and concerns so I can better represent Tennessee’s 7th District in Washington. Constituent input guides my legislative priorities in Washington, and I need to hear what is working and what is not working for us.”
Last month, Rep. Mark Green held a town hall in Humphreys County where constituents asked him about the border crisis, the Green New Deal, House Resolution 1 and plans to pack the Supreme Court with more than nine justices.
Just after winning his election, in the month of December Rep. Mark Green held six town halls across the 7th District.
Green has just completed his third month as a U.S. congressman. During that short period, he’s established himself as a leader. He is the president of the Republican freshman class, and has led key legislative efforts to preserve and protect the U.S. Constitution. In March, Congressman Green introduced a constitutional amendment to limit the seats on the Supreme Court to nine, amidst reports that some would like to ‘pack’ the court with liberal, activist justices.
He’s also reached across the aisle, working with Democrats to introduce common sense bills protecting Gold Star spouses and enable students to graduate college without debt.
Green has also made it a priority to help our troops and their families by introducing a bill to help military families afford education and strengthen U.S. treaty alliances by making sure they stay fully funded.
Additionally, Congressman Green has worked hard to bring Tennessee’s voice into the national conversation in Washington. His thoughts have been published or been mentioned in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Washington Times, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, Newsweek, FoxNews.com, Politico and The Hill.
