100 Days, 100 Stories
WASHINGTON—Read the stories of 100 Americans who demonstrate the positive impact from President Trump’s historic first 100 days in office, including three from TN-07.
Since his inauguration on January 20th, President Trump has taken bold action to secure the border, drive down inflation, restore American strength on the world stage, clean up our communities, secure trillions of dollars in new investments and jobs, and return common sense to Washington. These 100 American stories illustrate that.
Read the 3 stories from Tennesseans below and the full list here.
Sheriff Chris Davis has served as Tennessee’s Humphreys County Sheriff for nearly two decades. As a former S.W.A.T. Team member, K-9 Narcotics Detection Dog handler, and Chief Agent of the Twenty-Third Judicial District Drug Task Force’s Criminal Investigation Unit, Sheriff Davis understands the importance of law enforcement and has seen how illegal narcotics like fentanyl have devastated Tennessee’s communities and families. From the Abrego Garcia human smuggling case to Tren de Aragua’s presence across every major city in Tennessee, Sheriff Davis is grateful for President Trump’s work to reverse President Biden's open-border policies and secure American communities.
Shane Keatts, a fifth-generation farmer and President of the Stewart County Farm Bureau, grew up on a small family farm in rural Tennessee, where he developed a deep respect for American farmers and the critical role they play in feeding the nation. Today, he proudly supports President Trump’s executive orders on energy, believing they will boost demand for American-grown corn, and other ethanol-based commodities while helping lower the input costs of crop production.
Steve Hargrove, a beef cattle producer and vice president of Benton County Livestock Association in Tennessee. He owns two farms, one of which he was raised on. Of farming, he said: “Farming is something that’s in your blood. Farming is something you grow to love. It’s just a way of life. No one will love their job as much as a farmer.” Under the Biden administration, Steve was extremely concerned about the federal government’s continued influence upon his farm. Steve has two major creeks that run through his farm and if the Biden administration’s Waterways of the United States (WOTUS) expansion had been made permanent, the federal government would have effective control on Steve’s farm—putting the sustainability of his generational business in jeopardy. Under President Trump, Steve can rest easy knowing the government is on his side regarding WOTUS. During his first administration, President Trump made the WOTUS standards clear and after his review, he will do the same again.
